Virtual Training Night

Who: Level 1’s and 2’s and level 5’s not required to be at the Legion.

Where: Discord platform, parade square channel

Date: Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021

When: 18hr30 – 21hr00

Dress: C3-E for level 1-4 (winter dress with blue T-shirt), C3 for level 5 (Winter dress with blue dress shirt and tie) or appropriate civilian attire (white shirt and black pants) with poppy. See Discord tips and tricks channel for Poppy placement on a uniform.

 

In-Person Training Night

Who: Level 3

Where: Westboro Legion Upper Hall enter by 389 Richmond St

Date: Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021

When: 18hr30 – 21hr00

Dress: C3-E for level 1-4 (winter dress with blue T-shirt), C3 for level 5 (Winter dress with blue dress shirt and tie) or appropriate civilian attire (white shirt and black pants) with poppy. See Discord tips and tricks channel for Poppy placement on a uniform.

More Info: Parents are to drop off cadets behind the Legion at the intersection of Winston Ave and Madison Ave (and cadets walk up Winston to Richmond). Parents are not to enter the Legion building. When picking up, cadets should also be picked up in the Ottawa Mortgage Broker parking lot (off of Madison Ave).  Again, parents should stay in their vehicles and wait for their cadets. Cadets must have their masks and will be asked about symptoms and to sign in when entering the Legion.

 

In-Person Training Night

Who: Level 4

More Info: Parents are to drop off cadets at the MEC parking lot and cadets are to walk into the Legion.  Parents are not to enter the Legion building.  When picking up, cadets should also be picked up in the MEC parking lot.  Again, parents should stay in their vehicles and wait for their cadets. Cadets must have their masks and will be asked about symptoms and to sign in when entering the Legion.

 

Abseiling

Who: Cadets that have registered are all approved and should see a new tab in their Discord named accordingly.If you do not see the new tab, but your name was called YOU need to let your Fcmdt know asap as all particular information regarding this activity will be in that channel. Keep in mind that there will be a second round in the Spring for those that missed registration.

Where: Connaught (more details of drop-off/pick-up locations are in the Discord channel)

Date: Sunday, November 7th, 2021

When: Details in the Discord channel

Dress: FTU (if it fits properly), appropriate sports attire otherwise.

 

Junior Cadets Review Day

Who: All cadets that will be level 1-2-3 for the upcoming training year. (All cadets that were levels 1-2 in the 2020-2021 training year).  Note that this is a mandatory event and if you are not present you must ensure that your Flight staff knows of your absence.

Where: HCMS Carleton (79 Prince of Wales Dr., Ottawa)

Date: Sunday, November 21st, 2021

When: 09hr00 – 15hr30

Dress: Appropriate civilian attire and bring with you sports clothes and shoes.

More Information: You also need to bring your complete uniform (if it has been issued to you so far, some will be distributed on-site as well), boots, boot polish, and cloth. Girls: Hair kit necessary to do your hair to standards (i.e. hair gel, elastics same colour as hair, hair net, bobby pins, hairbrush, etc. )

 

513 Workshops

Who: All level 5 non-qualified cadets

Where: Virtual (more details to follow)

Date: November 20th, 22nd, 27th or 29th (you must select 2 workshops in total).

When: Info to come.

Dress: C-5 (FTU)

More Information: The deadline for registration is as soon as possible as limited spots are available for each workshop but no later than Nov 10th at closing parade. For more info contact CI Kastler.
