211 Air Cadets Presenting Their Targets

Weekly Activities

Band [New Time and Location]

When: Friday February 28th from 18hr15 to 21hr30

Where: Rideau Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre (815 St Laurent Blvd)

Other Information: Drumline practice will be in the auditorium, and all other cadets are to report to the cafeteria as per usual with their music stands (if issued).


Pipes and Drums Workshop [Cancelled]

Other Information: Due to the on-going rotating teacher strikes in response to government cuts, the school is closed, and the workshop is cancelled.



When: Friday February 28th from 18hr30 (for returning cadets) or 19hr00 (for new this year) to 21hr00

Where: QMO (142 Chemin Freeman)


Drill Team

When: Tuesday March 3rd from 18hr30 to 20hr30

Where: Gym 2 at NDHS

Dress: Civilian attire with parade boots and wedges


Junior Ground School

When: Monday March 2nd from 18hr30 to 20hr30

Where: NDHS classrooms

Dress: Appropriate civilian attire

Other Information: Any cadets interested in attending are to show up on Monday. All cadets that attended the session for Jr. Ground School on Monday to send an email to Cpl Neault at jdneault@gmail.com.



Single Activities

Pipes and Drums Testing Day

When: Saturday February 29th from 08hr30 till finished testing

Where: Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces (intersection of Spitfire and Slemon Private near the Ottawa Airport)

Other Information: Cadets are to bring the following items:  music instrument, partitions for the practical assessment, scales for the practical assessment, rhythm sheet for the practical assessment, a music stand, a pencil with eraser, health insurance card, cold lunch with snack, and medication (if needed)


Regional Marksmanship Competition

When: Saturday March 14th (timings TBD)

Where: 832 Squadron, Jean Marc Lalonde Arena (1450 Du Parc Avenue, Rockland)

Other Information: Cadets must bring their own lunch. More information to come.


Other Events and Information

Updated Cadet Guidebook

All cadets, especially new ones, please be aware of the updated Cadet Guidebook, which you can download in PDF format from the home page of the squadron webpage.  The cadet guidebook will help you understand how the squadron works and provide you with the knowledge of what you need to know to properly function in the squadron.   It is to your great benefit to familiarize yourself with this resource.  You don’t have to download it, but you should at least go through it online.  It’s there to access whenever necessary.


Summer Camp Information and Forms

Summer camp sign-up forms are available now, and can be found here. The first page outlines all the information for the General Training course available to new cadets and level 1’s. The second page lists all the 3- and 6-week courses available. The forms must be returned next training night (Wednesday March 4th). If you need any more information or have any questions, please contact our admin officer at sylviemcmillan@videotron.ca.


Training Night

When: Wednesday March 4th from 18hr15 to 21hr00

Where: Drop-off and Pick-up are at NDHS

Dress: Cadets are to be in C3, and any cadets without a uniform are to dress in a white shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

It is now the winter season, so a reminder to all cadets and parents that outdoor shoes are NOT allowed in the gym.
