Other Events and Information

Updated Cadet Guidebook

All cadets, especially new ones, please be aware of the updated Cadet Guidebook, which you can download in PDF format from the home page of the squadron webpage.  The cadet guidebook will help you understand how the squadron works and provide you with the knowledge of what you need to know to properly function in the squadron.   It is to your great benefit to familiarize yourself with this resource.  You don’t have to download it, but you should at least go through it online.  It’s there to access whenever necessary.

Clothing Drive

Dear Cadets, Parents, Neighbours of Cadets and Parents, Friends of Neighbours of Cadets and Parents, Friends of Neighbours of Cadets and Parents and their families, Friends of Neighbours of Cadets and Parents and their families and their extended friends and families too, significant acquaintances and insignificant acquaintances and anyone else who likes/wants a clean home:

The SSC is conducting a fundraiser to raise money for the Squadron and our partner is Value Village.  Value Village will write a cheque to the Squadron for bags of clothing and other things they accept for donations.  We’re looking to fill 300 garbage bags so your participation and assistance getting the word out can really lead to a clean home and money in the bank of the Squadron.

On Sunday November 24th, from 11:30 – 2:30 pm you can drop off your donations at Notre Dame High School.  We’re renting a large truck to bring the donations to Value Village so please help us fill it up! You can view the flyer here for more information on what is acceptable.

Thank you for your support and wishing you a clean home for the Christmas season!

Regular Training Night

When: Wednesday November 27th from 18hr15 to 21hr00

Where: Drop-off and Pick-up are at NDHS

Dress: Cadets are to be in C3, and any cadets without a uniform are to dress in a white shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

It is now the winter season; we now ask all cadets and parents to not wear outdoor shoes in the gym in order to not track any salt or slush into the gym or classrooms. Cadets are to bring their parade boots or other indoor footwear in with them and change once inside the school. Parents are still more than welcome to watch closing parade, we simply ask that they remove their shoes first, as we are simply guests in the school.
