Spring Tag Day (Saturday April 13th)
This is an important squadron function, so please plan to attend.
Important!: You need two fundraising points to attend the year-end trip. Fundraising points are acquired at the rate of 1 point per shift (morning or afternoon). If you want to attend the year end trip and have not participated in a previous fundraising event or tag day, you will need to complete both morning and afternoon shifts on this tag day. For cadets participating in both the morning and afternoon shifts, lunch will be provided. Looking for all cadets to come out for the morning, afternoon or all day (pizza lunch for those staying for the whole day!)
This is an important event for the squadron as it’s an opportunity to:
- Represent 211 in our community awareness about our program
- Raise funds for Squadron activities
- Earn fundraising points required to be eligible for the year-end trip (each half day = 1 point…2 points required for the year end trip)
- Have the opportunity to practice speaking in public
While most cadet activities are run entirely by the Squadron, Tag Day requires the participation of parent volunteers to make it a success. If you are a parent and available to drive cadets to their location and to stay with them for half a day or all day, please send an email to Squadron Support Committee member Carol Ann Hartung at email@example.com
Tag Day Timings and Location Info:
The Tag Day Staging Area Location will be the same as last year – 1924 Wembley Avenue, Ottawa Ontario on Saturday April 13th, 2019.
First Shift: 0815 Hrs
Second Shift: 1215 Hrs
Tag day ends at 1615 Hrs.
Cadets are to arrive at 1924 Wembley Avenue, Ottawa before their shift start time. Cadets will be driven to their respective tag day locations. They will be picked up and returned to 1924 Wembley Avenue, Ottawa at the end of their shifts.
Many cadets will participate in both shifts to maximize their fundraising points. Tag day success has a direct impact on the frequency and quality of events that cadets enjoy during the year. Please plan to attend and give your very best to support the Squadron.
