On Wednesday, May 26, at 1810hrs, the squadron will celebrate the end of the virtual training year with a combined ACR and Mess Dinner. We encourage you to invite your family and friends. The Zoom link will be available here and in Flight Channels on Discord. Those cadets that have responded for meals for the Mess Dinner will have to pick up their meal at Notre Dame High School between 1630-1700h on Wednesday, May 26th. Details of the dinner protocol and how to set up your table space for the event are available here.
Cadets that have been selected for virtual summer training courses have been posted to the #Administration channel on Discord. Offers of participation will be coming from the AdminO in the coming weeks. Selected cadets who are no longer available must inform Capt Lee as soon as possible. In-Person training opportunities are now also available for applications. The offerings are detailed below. Contact Capt Lee to apply.
- Marksmanship Clinic: 24-25 Jul – Cadets will have the opportunity to receive coaching and earn marksman qualifications during these half-day clinics.
- Drone Pilot Course: 2-6 Aug or 9-13 Aug – Cadets will have the opportunity to earn their Basic Operations Drone Pilot Certificate during these 1-week courses which include an academic ground school portion and a practical hands-on drone flying portion. Cadets should ideally be at least 14 years old.
- Summer Cadet Activity Program: Dates TBD – Cadets will have the opportunity to participate in local activities (ie, museum visits, etc) in a “day-camp” style program.
