Admin note: If you cannot attend a training night YOU MUST inform your Fcmdt AND the Administration Officer (jean-simon.brassard@cadets.gc.ca or in a Direct message on Discord). Attendance counts towards promotions, camps, and much more.
Mandatory Cadet Break
Until after January 15th, 2022 no cadet activities will be taking place, or cadet work or communication occurring. Please, everyone, enjoy their break, and we will see you in the New Year.
Virtual Training Night – In The New Year
Who: Cadets in leadership positions (Section Commanders for Level 3 and 4, 2 IC’s, Flight Commanders, and Department Heads).
Where: Discord platform, parade square channel
Date: Wednesday, January 19th, 2022
When: 18hr30 – 21hr00
Dress: Civilians
More Info: Don’t forget to set your account to online- Green circle beside your name, otherwise attendance isn’t accounted for.
Biathlon
No Biathlon until after Winter Break (after January 15th).
Marksmanship
No Marksmanship until after Winter Break (after January 15th).
Junior Cadets Review Day – Mandatory
Who: All cadets that will be level 1-2-3 for the upcoming training year. (All cadets that were levels 1-2 in the 2020-2021 training year). Note that this is a mandatory event and if you are not present you must ensure that your Flight staff knows of your absence.
Where: TBD
Date: Sunday, January 16th, 2021
When: All day (exact timings TBD)
Dress: Appropriate civilian attire and bring with you sports clothes and shoes.
More Information: You also need to bring your complete uniform (if it has been issued to you so far, some will be distributed on-site as well), boots, boot polish, and cloth. Girls: Hair kit necessary to do your hair to standards (i.e. hair gel, elastics same colour as hair, hair net, bobby pins, hairbrush, etc. )
Senior Cadets Review Day – Mandatory
Who: All level 4 and 4 cadets. This is a mandatory event and if you cannot be there you must let your flight staff know.

Band
Who: All cadets interested in learning and playing an instrument.
Registration: Send a DM to FSgt Yan on Discord
Where: TBD but virtual for the moment
When: Starting in Jan 2022
More info: You must send rank, first and last name as well as what instrument you are interested in playing. If you will be using your own instrument or you will be borrowing an instrument from the unit. If you have interested but unsure what instruments are available you may also write to FSgt Yan and communicate that with him.
Air Cadet League of Canada’s National Education Scholarship
Who: Cadets who will be entering a post-secondary program in September 2022 who are cadets on April 1st, 2022 or who have aged out between April 2nd, 2021 – April 1st, 2022.
Deadline to Apply: April 1st, 2022
More info: Please note that the application requires the recommendation of the Commanding Officer. As a result, you must inform the CO (matthew.lee@cadets.gc.ca) prior to your application. Your completed application should also be submitted prior to the League’s application deadline so that the CO has time to provide his recommendation. Questions can be directed to the CO.
