These are the weekly announcements, please distribute to the Senior NCOs

211 Squadron – Weekly Announcements (December 6th 2018)

Please make sure that you properly and clearly read all of the below details. Staff have been receiving questions from senior cadets on activities that are described in this email.

Secondly, please make sure that before attending a Cadet activity following a significant weather event, that you first verify the squadron calendar available on the squadron website or the Facebook page to ensure the activity is still ongoing.

Weekly Activities


Band this Friday at Ottawa Technical Secondary School, 485 Donald St, from 18:15 to 20:30. For any questions, please contact FSgt Hatzis.


Regular training continues this Saturday at 8:30 am to 1 pm at Camp Fortune. We will be skiing this weekend so dress appropriately. Bring a hat, gloves, water and food. Please RSVP by 6 pm Friday to 211sqaudronbiathlon@gmail.com. See you Saturday!

Senior Ground School:

Senior Ground School Monday December 10th from 18hr30 to 20hr30 at NDHS.


There will be a marksmanship practice this Friday, December 7th. New cadets are to show up at 19:00 (7 pm) at 142 Chemin Freeman. It will end at 21:00 (9 pm). Please wear comfortable appropriate civilian attire.

Drill Team:

Drill Team next Tuesday, December 11th at NDHS from 18:30 to 20:30. Any cadets interested in joining the drill team should speak to FSgt McCloskey.

Single Activities:

Level Five Workshop (Saturday December 8th):
St Andrew School, 201 Crestway Drive, Nepean, 0830hrs-1600hrs.
Performance Objective 513, Workshop
Topics: Time management, dynamic instruction, healthy interpersonal relationships, communications tools, learning environment and classroom management.

Level Five Ottawa Valley Region Mess Dinner (Saturday December 8th):

St Andrew School, 201 Crestway Drive, Nepean, 1745hrs-2130hrs.
Dress is C8 (white shirt and bowtie).

Hot Chocolate House (Wednesday December 19th):
On our last regular training evening before Christmas holidays the squadron is running it’s annual Hot Chocolate House; it’s a fun evening of hot chocolate and treats, and showcasing talent from the squadron. Dress is civilian with a holiday flair.

Other Announcements

Regular Training (Wednesday December 12th @ NDHS):

Next Wednesday is sports night, be sure to dress appropriately. Bring water to stay hydrated and wear deodorant.

It is now the winter season, so a reminder to all cadets and parents that outdoor shoes are NOT allowed in the gym.
