Weekly Annoucements

211 Squadron – Weekly Announcements November 15th 2018

Please make sure that you properly and clearly read all of the below details.  Staff have been receiving questions from senior cadets on activities that are described in this post. Secondly, please make sure that before attending a Cadet activity following a significant weather event, that you first verify the squadron calendar available on the squadron website or the Facebook page to ensure the activity is still ongoing.

Weekly Activities


Band this Friday at Ottawa Technical Secondary School, 485 Donald St, from 18:30 to 20:30.  For any questions, please contact FSgt Hatzis. There is NO music clinic this weekend.  

Senior Ground School:

Senior Ground School Monday November 19th from 18hr30 to 20hr30 at NDHS.  


There will be a marksmanship practice this Friday, Nov 16. It will be at 142 Chemin Freeman. For new cadets show up at 1900 (7 pm).  

Drill Team:

Drill Team next Tuesday November 20th at NDHS from 18:30 to 20:30. Any cadets interested in joining the drill team should speak to FSgt McCloskey.  


Full practice from 8:30 to 12:30 this Saturday at Camp Fortune. There will be skiing and shooting but please running shoes as well and dress to stay outside for the whole time. You must bring gloves, a hat, lunch and snacks and plenty of water. You must also confirm your attendance by 6pm Friday to: 211squadronbiathlon@gmail.com.  

Other Announcements

Regular Training (Wednesday November 21st @ NDHS):

Next Wednesday is a regular training night, dress is winter dress. Any level ones are to wear appropriate civilian attire, and bring all their uniform parts with them as they will be taught how to properly wear and maintain it.  


Please note:

It is now the winter season, so a reminder to all cadets and parents that outdoor shoes are NOT allowed in the gym.
